About

The ability to write isn’t something you develop over a period of time. It’s just something you are born with, and like most other internal phenomenons, it needs a catalyst. This catalyst could be anything, a car crash, a break up, a failed grade, a horrible semester, betrayal, infidelity, yada yada yada. But can you observe the unfortunate pattern? The catalyst is mostly a negative cause. This is merely because a writers mind becomes more creative during adversity. I mean, this happens with most people, adversity is what gives rise to creativity and imagination.

But anyway, this is all pretty deep, and it might sound like I’ve gone through some really tough times in life, and if you look at my public name it does say: Nameless Old Monk. But HEY! I’m just a twenty-one year old guy, what do I know about lifes infinite revelations? Stay tuned to find out. I sincerely hope I don’t let you down.

Yours affectionately,

Nameless Old Monk.

  1. What up NOM? Lol.

Well I generally like what you’re doing here but here’s the thing- I gotta disagree with you on the writing part where you say that writing isn’t a skill which we develop over a period of time.

That’s like you saying everyone can play music, and it’s just a matter of you finding something to make you pick up the instrument and start playing.

You wouldn’t know how to play a guitar if you don’t learn and practice the art! It takes skills and practice, bud.
Writing, in my opinion, is the same. You don’t just get born into knowing how to write nor read.

I’ve met people who aren’t literate and yeah, I was shocked as well. We are in the 21st century and there are still people who can’t read nor write- But seriously, it happened!
The awesome part about this? They chose to learn afterwards and slowly got to put their new skills to good use.

They learned how to read and how to write. So I’m not trying to make you feel bad or anything but I just wanna share my opinion on how I disagree with your perspective here on writing isn’t something you can develop but born with.

If you say we are born to breathe? Totally agree with you man lol.

    Benjamin
